In October 2019, A Friends of Southwest grant for Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region supported their new 

Dent House Community Center located in Southwest, Washington, D.C.

In June 2020, a Friends of Southwest grant supported their Southwest Washington Emergency Workforce Re-entry Program.
